DESCRIPTION:Lisbon is your stage!  – Inspiring and non-competitive\nINTERKULTUR’s new project combines your wanderlust and your love of music. The ON STAGE event series is ready to check off your list of must-see cities and will do so while providing all the comforts of a non-competitive choral music event and the opportunities and delights of a tourist tour around local traditions\, culture and history….and\, yes\, also around local fun. Worldwide landmark cities will be your stage and heaven for the 4-day events which will revolve around friendship concerts\, touristic tours\, workshops and celebration. \nThe events are designed for all those who wish to combine their music with travelling\, learning and experiencing of new destinations. \nThe schedule will include touristic activities (i.e. sightseeing)\, short concerts in touristic places (churches\, halls)\, a workshop with a local choir and a joint concert of all the participants. \nLisbon \n\n\nThe city built over seven hills\, on the coast of the Atlantic ocean\, is home to the world’s greatest explorers\, like Vasco da Gama\, Magellan and Prince Henry\, the Navigator. \nNot any other European capital has such an intriguing mix of the old and the new\, or so many contrasting faces\, making this a city for unhurried exploration and a place to get lost in and discover its many distinctive sights and characteristic images. \n\n\nThe World Heritage Belém Tower\, symbol of the age of discovery\, is to Lisbon what the Eiffel Tower is to Paris\, and along with the marvellous Jeronimos Monastery\, Vasco da Gama’s resting place are a must-see in one of Europe’s most soulful capitals\, with sunsets on the sea. \nLisbon… “a reminiscence of the romantic decay of Venice\, the exoticism of Naples or Istanbul\, the laid-backness of Rome\, echos of San Francisco\, and Iberian spirit.” \n\n\nBe the first one to share this post!
