SUMMARY:12th European Academy for choral conductors
DESCRIPTION:The Academy is a biannual professional masterclass opened to participants from all over the world\, organised by Feniarco in partnership with European Choral Association and in collaboration with Associazione Regionale Cori Marche and Coro Polifonico Malatestiano. \nThe lecturer of the Academy 2023 is BRADY ALLRED (USA). Known throughout the international choral world\, Allred is the artistic director of the Salt Lake Choral Artists. He is in demand as a conductor and also as a teacher and his work has earned great worldwide recognition. \nThe music programme of the Academy is MADE IN USA: choral music from North America. A musical excursus through the compositions of some of the major authors of choral music from the United States of America\, from the end of the 19th century through the 20th century to the present day\, highlighting different and articulated techniques and stylistic approaches (Aaron Copland\, Samuel Barber\, Irving Fine\, Leonard Bernstein\, Raymond Murray Schafer\, Morten Lauridsen\, Frank Ticheli\, Jake Runestad and more). \nAt the Academy is it possible to register as active participant or as auditor. The participants will work with a high level pilot-choir during the whole Academy. At the end of the week\, on Saturday September the 2nd\, there will be a concert conducted by the best participants of the masterclass. The working language will be English.
